DAY 01:TORONTO – BEIJING

Your journey begins with a transpacific flight to Beijing. Move your watch a day ahead as you cross the International Dateline. Meals will be served and headsets will be supplied so that you may enjoy the full-length movie and the many audio channels available.

DAY 02: BEIJING (D)

Welcome to Beijing, the political and cultural centre of the world’s most populous nation. You will be met your local tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure for you to acclimatize yourself with the time change.

Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 03: BEIJING (B/L/D)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will tour Tian An Men Square, the largest public plaza in the world. Here you may shop at great bargain prices. Then, you will visit the Forbidden City, where two dozen emperors lived from the 15th to the early 20th century. It also houses the Palace Museum, which contains priceless treasures. In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Summer Palace. After dinner, enjoy a Peking Opera performance. Return to hotel for overnight.

DAY 04: BEIJING (B/L/D)

This morning you will walk the mighty Great Wall of China. It is the only man-made structure visible from the moon – stretching across China for about 4,000 miles. In the afternoon, you will visit a Martial Art Training Class in a local Sport School.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 05: BEIJING – JINAN (B/L/D)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken to the Temple of Heaven before making your way to Jinan. Depart by train early afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 06: JINAN – QUFU (B/L/D)

Jinan is known as the City of Springs settled in Neolithic times and famous for its black pottery. Today you will visit the Daming Lake, a matial art training class and the Shandong Tourism School. Following your visits, travel by coach to Qufu, Confucius’ home town, where little has changed in 2000 years.

Dinner and overnight in Qufu.

DAY 07: QUFU – SHANGHAI (B/L/D)

This morning visit the Confucius Temple and Cemetery.

Your afternoon is at leisure for own sightseeing. In the evening, travel by overnight train to Shanghai.

DAY 08: SHANGHAI (B/L/D)

Upon arrival in Shanghai, the “Gateway of China”, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check in and freshen up for a new adventure. Today you will visit the Jade Buddha Temple and walk along the famous Bund which is situated along the bank of the Huangpu River. Dinner and overnight in Shanghai.

DAY 09: SHANGHAI – SUZHOU (B/L/D)

Take the morning train to Suzhou, the “Venice of the East”. Visit the Silk Worm factory to learn about the Silk civilization. Enjoy a Grand Canal boat cruise and visit the Master of Nets Garden.

Dinner and overnight in Suzhou.

DAY 10: SUZHOU – SHANGHAI (B/L/D)

This morning, visit the Embroidery Institute and a local school. You will have time to mingle with the Chinese students and exchange ideas. If time allows, a ping-pong game or a football match can be arranged.

Take the afternoon train back to Shanghai. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Shanghai.

DAY 11: SHANGHAI (B/L/D)

Following breakfast, visit the Yu Garden, the Children Palace and the famous Shanghai Museum. An amazing Acrobatic Show awaits you. Dinner and overnight in Shanghai.

DAY 12: SHANGHAI – TORONTO (B)

Say goodbye to China as you board your transpacific flight home taking this wonderful feast of experience with you.
