On our extensive journeys throughout the years we've met some incredible individuals who happen to run some outstanding charitable organizations. Here are just a few that we believe deserve the attention of our travellers.
Pens for Kids
Pens for Kids is a tremendous organization that brings help directly to children in East Africa. There is no transfer of funds required. In order to avoid the unfortunate corruption, Phillip Amon of Arusha, Tanzania collects packages filled with only pens and other school supplies. In donating physical supplies, it ensures that the materials will get in the hands of the children. Since pens are light-weight, it reduces the cost of shipping. In supporting this charity, you are working directly with the children and there are no organizational fees or surcharges.

East Metro Youth Services
East Metro Youth Services (EMYS) is a multi-service adolescent mental health centre, accredited by the Children’s Mental Health Ontario, which has been serving young people and their families in East Toronto since 1974.
EMYS works in partnership with families, schools, and outside health professionals to help young people achieve their personal best. We provide a range of prevention, assessment, and diagnostic services, as well as counselling, day treatment, transitional support, and residential services.
