Vimy Ridge Anniversary Tour

Explore the Memorial, preserved trenches, tunnels and many other attractions at Vimy. This is a place that every single Canadian should experience.

Day 1: Thursday April 5

Toronto – Amsterdam

Depart on a transatlantic flight to
Amsterdam.

Day 2: Friday April 6

Amsterdam

Arrive this afternoon at Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport. Once you collect your baggage and clear customs, meet your guide and travel to Amsterdam. Today, you will have a guided tour of the Anne Frank House. Following the tour, enjoy a canal cruise.

Day 3: Saturday April 7

Amsterdam - Ypres

After an early breakfast and departure, visit the Groesbeek Memorial Cemetery and the National Liberation Museum. Following the tour, continue to Mechelen for a guided tour of the Breendonk Concentration Camp. In the late afternoon, continue to Ypres. This evening, participate in the ‘Last Post’ ceremony.

Day 4: Sunday April 8

Ypres - Arras

After breakfast, board your coach and head towards the Somme area. Today’s memorial tour is highlighted by Beaumont Hamel. Other visits include Essex Farm Cemetery, Tyne Cot Cemetery and the In Flanders Fields Museum.

Day 5: Monday April 9

Arras

Attend the 95th Anniversary Celebrations at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial and Battlefield Park - explore the Memorial, preserved trenches, tunnels and many other attractions at Vimy

Day 6: Tuesday April 10

Arras – Dieppe – Caen

Depart early this morning and travel to Dieppe where you will have a guided tour of the beach and the Dieppe Canadian War Cemetery. Continue to Caen this afternoon and visit the Memorial Museum de Caen.

Day 7: Wednesday April 11

Caen

Visit the Juno beach Centre this morning. The coach is at your disposal for the rest of the day to tour the surrounding landing beaches (a guide can be provided at your request).

Day 8: Thursday April 12

Caen - Paris

Travel to Paris. Upon arrival, enjoy an orientation tour of the city.

Day 9: Friday April 13

Paris

Use your supplied Metro pass for a morning guided city tour. This evening, see Paris from the Seine from the Bateaux Mouches.

Day 10: Saturday April 14

Paris - Toronto

Return to Toronto.
